Hello GentleFolk,
I have had an experience that has motivated me to put finger to keyboard.
Since the arrival of full Socials, I was disappointed to see a general move to he negative aspects of humanity.
An example of this was the suggestion, by many PHers, to create a "Name and Shame" Forum.
I believe that a positive experience should be passed around to save others from being ripped-off (Sorry to sound so 70s)
SO
In an attempt to spread positivity, I thought why don't PH start a "Name and Fame" thread ?
I have been put into this wonderful frame of mind by a recent trip to the UK from Luxembourg.
It was based around a family wedding so most of my time was going to be restricted to family
duties
BUT
I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to get help for my Big Service so I
arranged with Julian at KITS AND CLASSICS to swap some Throttle Pots for my Cerb, along with negotiating with Nick Claydon of CC Aqua Blasting to have the Throttle Bodies and Fuel Rail brought back to 'as new' condition..
These two requests depended on the Guys doing something, which business advisors would not recommend, but is a characteristic that you will find in enthusiasts and, I feel, should be supported with as much effort as we can muster.
Case 1:
I had bought a couple of sets of Throttle Pots from Joolz many months ago
BUT
following some advice from an expert, I decided to change my TP to the original specification. I contacted Joolz, in advance of my trip, telling him of my difficulties with the new taxes imposed of goods crossing the UK / EU frontiers and the short stay that I would be spending in the UK.
He sent the parts I required, in advance of my arrival, on the understanding that I would send
the exchange parts back to him, once I'd reached Blighty.
You can imagine my joy at arriving at the UK address, with the parts already having arrived and no invoice.
The Guy is a STAR.
Case 2:
The second problem required me to send the whole of my Throttle Body / Injection Rail assembly by post. Nick had already agreed to receive, process and return the parts within the small window that we had available, but when I had packed the items.....

I realised that the Post was not going to cope with the time limitations. So, at the last minute, we changed plans and I dropped the parts off with Nick. He did an incredible job on them but then drove from North-East Essex to Gatwick through Storm Franklyn in order to get them to me in time for my return.
So far beyond a reasonable service I can't recommend highly enough.

Meeting and knowing these people has been one of the highlights of my life on this planet.
If no-one comes to their senses over the mounting 'political problems' then my last week on Earth will have been a good one, thanks to these two chaps.
Please take advantage of their services and de-stress your own lives
....
P.S. Does anyone know of a "Services" forum within PH
as I think other members should know about these guys' credentials.

Joolz transformed my car with his mapping and throttle work years ago and is still brilliant, but also his continued advice on here is invaluable.
Judder should be praised for his work at getting throttle pots on a bulk buy in 2018.
My car now goes to Str8Six. Huge attention to detail.
