I am currently between roles at the moment and with the spare time I am interested in learning a new skill (which may be an opportunity for a career changed eventually).

As a result I have been looking at Python courses, and maybe even doing a boot camp.

I know a lot of people on PH are in IT, and may have experience in the field or taken similar training courses.

So interested to know whether there are some recommended courses / boot camps that would be worth looking into? Currently googling boot camps & reviewing the online offerings on Skill Share / Udemy but interested in first hand experiences / advice others might have on a suitable course or route to take?

Appreciate the time.

Python list of learning resources: https://wiki.python.org/moin/BeginnersGuide/Progra...

Udemy: https://www.udemy.com/course/complete-python-bootc... (75% off for the next 5 hours... £15 instead of £59 although Udemy regularly do these discounts).

Massive thanks for all the suggestions!

Going to start working through the lists you have provided and purchased the Udemy course to get me going.

Thanks again

No worries.

I would also recommend you find fun, interesting (to you) projects to help develop your skills. If you just read books, it will get very boring very quickly whereas if you have a goal of creating something fun then you'll learn much more and (hopefully) stay engaged.

Ideas:

Hijacking the thread a bit but...
Anyone have any experience with MicroPython for programming ST32, PIC or AVR MCU's?

I would of suggested same as above. In addition, if you are interesting in data science, https://www.learnpython.org/ is a good primer (https://www.datacamp.com/courses/intro-to-python-for-data-science also by same people).
