On the subject of tyres....My Chim 400 has Toyo 205/60 R15 91V on the front and Bridgestone SO3 225/55 W on the back. Could somebody please tell me if these are ok as I have phoned a couple of tyre companies and get different answers! Any suggestions where to get tyres from - I live near Tonbridge in Kent and i am not convinced the KwikFit brigade are really qualified for the job ?!?! Happy to be proved wrong though

Not sure if you mean 'they' are saying that they are the wrong size, or that you shouldn't mix the tyres front to back...
There are a lot of good reports about the different Toyo tyres, but i understand that they are just upgrading from one tread pattern to another and your can't buy both sizes, in either (eg you end up with a defferent tread pattern / compound on the front to the back!)
The SO-3 are what TVR fitted from new, so nothing wrong their at all, only they have now apparently been discontinued (although their are reports of stocks of SO-3's being available in limited numbers)
I am just having the fronts replaced on mine, and have gone with Goodyear Eagle F1's (as now used on all new TVR's), and looking at the size chart on the website, these are available to suit both the front and the back of a standard Chimaera so should be able to end up with a full matching set once the rear SO-3's have worn down a little further. The F1's are not massively expensive at £82 each (fronts at 205/55 Z15) and have a lovely aggressive tread pattern.

Coming from the "other" thread, I presume you're concerned about the "V" rating instead of "W". Looking at the tyre bible, V means 150mph and W means 168mph sustained for 10minutes *in the lab* for new tyres.
I guess (usual caveats) that you're gonna be ok unless you habitually spend long periods of time at or around 150mph!

Goodyear EAGLE F1 GS-D2 205/55 R15 88W currently £77.10 inc vat and shipping www.mytyres.co.uk - its worth making a note I buy all my tyres from them then pop down to the local ATS for fitting - last time they quoted me £120 per tyre plus fitting so you can guess where I told them to stick the tyres!
