I'm currently dealing in motorbikes and can't get stock insurance as I'm dealing from home

I'm trying to weigh up the risk of a gang stealing multiple bikes - and hence how much to spend on security, ideally knowing their modus operandi

I'm finding it impossible to find any information - is it available anywhere ?

I tried talking to my local CPO but she was new and whilst very nice, knew nothing

I'm also in a rural area but with several cities within easy driving distance

Do some of the police car crime units post on Twitter and FaceBook? I don't know if your local constabulary has a car crime unit and post on Social Media? They may know about the offending you're looking to mitigate against.

You can view crime maps at https://www.police.uk/ and although the date and location is fairly specific, it's by broad category, eg. "burglary" etc.

You could speak to NAVCIS or if you local force have them, Crime Reduction Tactical Advisor

The information you are looking for is very specific and just as likely to be out of date next week when a new Crew find out what you've got courtesy of a customer telling someone else...

The basic principles of security and crime prevention will be appropriate for you, NAVCIS may be willing to share some common approaches used by gangs who take multiple vehicles at once and what frustrates them.

Thanks all

I've not used Twitter and from what I've seen there is very limited info on FB by the Police - I'm signed into several Rural / Farm watch groups

The Police site is what I've tried in the past but it's useless as (from what I can see) I can't see large areas nor much info on the crime

I'll try contacting the team you've mention I'm on the edge of 3 Police areas - one of them is bound to have one

It's entirely possible I'm a bit paranoid but I'd rather do what I can before something happens - already have dogs, alarms, chains etc
