I’ve been lucky enough to have had a .25 above base rate for past 7yrs (it’s a flexi and lifetime). The mortgage is 310k and 50% LTV

Today we finished our application to move to a 10yr fix at 1.66%

I know we missed the boat on lower rates a bit as in recent weeks swaps have been on the up

Our view is that this is a good move as interest rates will likely be on the up due to energy market / inflation and not helped by the war for Ukraine …. What do the pistonheads experts think? (As we haven’t the pw yet!)

Seeing as inflation is in the 5-7% region and probably going to get worse I'd say you've done rather well. Now just lend the difference at 30% APR biggrin
