Morning,

noticed the other day that it seem the older (many!) volumes of the covid threads like CV19 - Cure worse than the disease? (Vol 15) have been binned.

Is it a capacity thing? Didn’t think we usually binned old volumes unless there was a rules issue? I couldn’t see one earlier than vol 16 which still existed - could be wrong though.

Cheers

None have been binned.

Here is a working link to vol. 15:

Vol 14:

Vol 13:

(What sometimes happens is posts are deleted from earlier volumes which reduces the post count. This lowers the page count in that volume so links to the final page no longer work)

No problem.
If you find a similar broken link then reducing the number at the end of the web address often fixes it.
In your original post the broken link ends with ‘=9960’, if you change the number to something smaller then you link to an earlier point in the thread. Changing it to ‘=1’ takes you to opening post.

Not wanting to create a problem or be critical of the actions of the moderation team but as it's always a moderator or admin that closes a previous volume of a thread and opens a new volume - couldn't you link to the first post in the previous vol rather than the last then the links would never break (because that post is always there and never likely to be deleted)?
