Anyone have a good recommendation for a way of using a PS2 controller (or equivalent) on PC? I'm playing alot of my retro (ish) game collection. But trying to find an adaptor for my old PS2 controllers is proving fruitless as all the ones on amazon the reviews say they either don't work or work only once.

Or does anyone know of a good PS2 style controller with a USB connection?

Reason I'm not just using the xbox360/ps3 or 4 controllers is games like Midnight Club 2 don't recognise triggers - so I lose those buttons, hence why I'm trying to get my PS2 one to work thumbup

I bought a PS2 to USB adaptor for £1.85 in 2013. Works perfectly as far as I've ever been able to tell.

I bought one about 10 or so years ago that my nephew occasionally uses with PS1 controllers. It was working fine when I last tried it a few years ago.

Not sure if is the same brand name, but it looks like this one.

Could pick up a ps3 controller from ebay or local/gumtree. Plugs in with the cable to your pc.

I recently bought a (non genuine) PS3 controller from Amazon for about £11. It works perfectly fine with the cable, but is a bit hit and miss with the bluetooth and I can only get it work briefly. Fine if you don't mind being tethered - it even has the rumble pack.

All my PS3 controllers are looking slightly well-used laugh so have given the above and a PS2 controller (perma-tethered) a go as it was £5... if that doesn't work I'll get a PS3 controller and dig out some cables thumbup
