Hi guys,

Are the fuel senders on the 96 cars earthed?

I have the later style connections (black and black/green wires) but I have no gauge registering.

And then these two wires for something - is one and earthing?

It's a supply and a return, with the fuel sender being a variable resistor connected between the two wires. Hence there is a voltage drop across the two wires defined according to ohms law. You can measure the resistance across the sender pins with the plug disconnected in order to check the sender.

Thanks Richard

Ok I understand, before looking into it too much I just wanted to make sure if wasn't something daft like I needed to earth it. In the sender kit I received, it had what looked like an earth ring.

Anyone any ideas on what the wires are to the left?
