The evolution of the new Defender

Does anyone have any info as to whether JLR will manage the Defender like any other car and gradually obsolete older ones by radically refreshing it every 7 years or so OR run it like LR in decades gone by and have a very slow evolution of the Series/Defender products?

Well the Evoque has been going for 11 years and hasn’t changed much to the untrained eye.

It’s only been out 2 years.

I would bet 10-12 years or so given L405 and L322 and L319 platforms.

The old defender only stayed around due to the money going elsewhere.
It got engines when needed to keep up with regulations but otherwise since the tooling etc was there.
It got left to continue despite a few idea to change it completely in the 90s.
