A very enjoyable series as Tucci explores Italian cuisine. Doesn’t take himself seriously and genuinely has fun.
The food looks bellisimo .

I've been waiting for this to be broadcast in the UK for ages, so glad it's finally here.

What am I doing sitting behind a desk in a cold and drizzly NE London when I should be eating a Pizza in Napoli?

Might be time to watch 'Big Night' with Tucci again.
And maybe 'The Trip to Italy'.

It's a pretty good series when Tucci sticks to food and locals he meets with that add to the food discussion. It only goes off the rails when he occasionally strays into socio-political commentary.

Stan can talk about what the hell he likes , as far as I'm concerned . A delightful series which evokes those wonderful Giorgio Locatelli/ Andrew Graham - Dixon food/arts series in Italy .

He’s a Hollywood star with very little Hollywood about him.

The chap who tucks into huge plates of pasta, cheese, desserts and weighs 9 stone. That Stanley Tucci?

I am also fairly confident he doesn't eat like that, save for when he is making a TV series.

He's touring Italy sampling a lot of Italian delicacies for a tv show .

I suppose when he's at home in Hollywood he doesn't solely eat Italian .......ideaconfusedsilly

If you read his book you will learn just how passionate (over used word but the only one here) he is about his Italian heritage and its cuisine . He and his mrs can come and live next door to me any time .

His book is really enjoyable and he comes across as a perfectly normal bloke. I'm really enjoying the series although it usually gets paused half way through for me to get snacks. Worryingly Hannibal had the same effect on me.

This and the Italy/Rome/Sicily Unpacked series are just fantastic TV. I was very disappointed when each of them ended, but at least we have a second Tucci series to look forward to.

I started watching an old Rick Stein programme the other night but quickly gave up as he seemed pretty dull after ST, and the production values were nowhere in comparison to Searching For Italy.
