My other half scraped her car (a silver ix35) today on a wall, trying to get through a gap in traffic. It's thankfully not dented, but the scrape is obviously pretty bad. I'm thinking try to clean up as best as possible with G3 scratch remover and then touch up with silver touch-up paint. Although I am a novice.

What would you guys recommend for a scratch this deep? Any particular products I'll need?

If you can feel it and get a nail in to it then it will need paint to dissapear. Best you can do is help hide it by polishing it, fill it in with a touch up pen and then re-polish to flat back.

Will do. I've just noticed there's a very slight dent, maybe 3 inches wide where the wall has hit against the rear panel and ever so slightly creased it. Is there anything I can do about that other than hire a specialist/replace the panel?

That's a very minor repair for any bodyshop or smart repairer, will obviously need a skim of filler and respraying
