Inspired by the "My Little Collection" thread. I see a few of you have some nice cases for your watches.

Mine are currently stored in an array of travel cases/pouches which is an ok solution but I think a case might be a good answer to the unanswerable "What do you want for your birthday?" question.

However, looking around online it's really hard to get a sense of actual quality. You know the story; the photos/spiel look great but what you actually receive is shoddily constructed from dubious quality materials/"wood" and you realise you've paid £x00 for something that probably cost about a fiver to build and ship.

Any trusted stores or manufacturers you guys have found?

I'm open to wood or leather type options and relatively flexible on budget but ideally something sub £250.

Is it for display, or simply storage?
Can't help you so much on the former, but if the latter, grab a suitably sized pelican case and cut the pick and pluck foam to fit your collection.

My wife got me a 12 slot Wolf box. Very nice but I see it as a trap because she can easily see if I add to the collection.

I have the green Wolf x Analog Shift one and it's excellent. Quite spendy but does a great job

If you want a Peli style case then Peli themselves do proper watch prepared cases now

To The Hour

As mentioned above Wolf stuff is (apparently) good quality but is quite pricey IIRC.

A have a glass-topped leather case/box from Amazon which was pretty cheap but actually fairly decent - you take your chances with the level of ‘tatness’ you get online though.

Cheaper end but good quality - I have one albeit not one that seems to be sold anymore and the missus has a few bits of theirs too. Decent stuff.

Thanks, chaps!

I'm definitely looking for something on the more decorative side vs the utilitarian Peli cases.
Good to see Wolf being mentioned as they appear to be one of the best options in the space.

My wife has some of the Stackers boxes for jewellery and accessories etc, and yes, they are good quality. Presumably as they have a brand image to maintain, not like the unbranded jewellery/watch box crap that Amazon or Ebay are flooded with.

Watch display cases are very handy things for uninvited light fingered guests.
Personally I use boxes from both Walls and Carte d'or, They hold fifteen to twenty watches each and fit in a well hidden safe.

Best boxes are those hotel style safes... So easy for burglurs to have them under their arm running up the road...

Yeah, the plan here is for the box to go in the safe. I appreciate putting all watches in one case/place is potentially making a criminal's life easier.

I just thought there could be a nicer experience for grabbing a watch in the morning that doesn't involve opening a few of the travel cases to find the right piece.

I have one of these, Dulwich offer a decent range and mine seems well made having bought several years ago.

I've been eyeing up PeakTech cases.

I keep my watches in a safe but, since losing the lot in a burglary in 2017, when I go away (we go away for six weeks at a time), I take them all with me.

Yeah the quality is very good. OP they sell Stackers in John Lewis if you wanted to take a look.

I used to move round europe a bit so needed something safe to keep the watches in
But now I only use it for going to RedBar watch meetings

Pfft. You were robbed.
My watch box cost was under a quarter of that, holds twice as many watches AND it came full of free ice-cream.
