exported address book to where???

I have just formatted my pc, knowing that I had all my outlook express email addresses on my laptop.

I went to export my address book from my laptop, but instead of asking me where I wanted to export them to, Outlook express just did it for me. Fantastic, except for one minor snaggete...

I have no idea where they have been exported to, and worse still, no address book details on the laptop anywhere.

Soooo, no email contacts anywhere now.

Any idea where they have been hidden and how to retrieve them?

Most odd about them disappearing from Outlook Express. I'd do a search for *.wab and *.pst and see what comes up.

Have a look in your My Documents folder for a .WAB file.

Have a look in:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Looked everywhere, but cannot find it at all. Must have gone somewhere. I exported it as a microsoft exchange file rather than the comma seperated option.

Bit of a nuisance really....

Any more ideas folks?

make sure you have view hidden files and folders turned on. Then search drive for .pst files
