Seat not locking into position...
Discussion
My Tamora was delivered on Thursday and has been suffering from a peculiar problem - the drivers seat doesn't always stay locked in position which has proven rather dangerous and caused a few close calls as the seat comes unlocked and flung my body backwards leaving the pedels in far from my feet.
Has anyone else suffered from this problem? As my dealer no longer exist I need to rely on communicating with the factory until they sort a authorised service centre for me so I'm kinda stuck at the moment. I'm hoping someone out there has a easy fix for this....

The slider locking mechanism is pretty straightforward. I seem to remember someone else on here having the same problem. I assume it is just a case of bending the right bit or hitting it with a hammer correctly.
Can you wedge something under/behind the seat to stop it moving around of its own accord?

Do you have overmats? I have known this to happen if the carpets tuck up under the handle!
Hope the car is going well!
No overmats - it's a bog standard Tamora Red Rose. http://tamora.lundinoir.com

You gone all French on us Blackmonday??
Glad you got sorted with the new car. Hope you find a dealer that can sort your niggles and provide you the service that will make ownership a delight rather than a nightmare.
I had exactly the same problem. I took the seat out myself had a look at the runner and nothing apparant.
Spoke to my local dealer asking them to order a new runner as I had already taken the seat out and nothing was untoward.
TVR insisted that the car be taken to the dealer before they would authorise a new runner.
Dealer took seat out and set the runners in parallel, i.e. both in same slot.
Then proceeded to install the seat without changing the runner setting.
I thought what a load of bo**ocks (hope that they do not read this.
Lo and behold two months later no problems, you can hear the seat runner engage when moving the seat. Problem is based around the seat fixing hole being slightly larger than the bolt so allowing the runners not to engage simultaineously.
Must admit it is scary when it happens as at 5'6" when the seat goes back under acceleration cannot reach any of the pedals.
Excuse the spelling.
