Viewing BMW ACE 2.0 video clips on iMac?
Discussion
I have a programme installed on my Windows 10 laptop called Advanced Car Eye Viewer that allows me to review ACE 2.0 video clips stored on the camera’s memory card.
My laptop isn’t compatible with an upgrade to Windows 11 and so I am considering replacing it with an iMac, primarily for the added compatibility with my iPhone and iPad.
Please would someone who has ACE 2.0 front and rear cameras, and uses a Mac, let me know what software they use to view the videos stored on the memory card..
Thanks.

what is the file extension of the video file? (.xyz at the end)
I've not come across them/ no experience, but surely it'll be one of the fairly standard video 'wrappers'.
That said VLC will play virtually anything on OS.X, video or music.

Try it on your present windows box, and if it will play the ACE files, then it will also do the same on a Mac:

Thanks Huff.
The file format is avi, and the files have front and rear views combined in one file. I have now tried VLC and it seems to do the job in that I can view both front and rear videos.
It’s not as fully featured as the software I have on my PC, but I think it’ll do the job.
Cheers.
