What 5G phone

Hi All,

Missus birthday coming up, she had a Huawei phone which got damaged, think it was a 2019/2018 model, Barclays decided to replace it with a "similar" phone and offered her an iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, we took the Edge as were a 100% Android household, as expected she hates it but has put up with it for about a year.

The rest of my family have Pixel devices including me, The missus doesn't use the phone for much other than calls, Facebook and Tik Tok these days, started looking at 5G phones for her as she is on Smarty and they now support 5G.

Looking to spend up to £200 maybe a tiny bit more.

So far I've short listed the Xiaomi Note 10 5G which is currently £159 on Xiaomi website and includes a free watch, I looked at the A22 5G Samsung and an Oppo as well but discovered they all had the same hardware, battery etc. Nokia G50 another option, or the X10 (has Android One)

Noticed they are all quite big as well! anybody got any other recommendations?

What does she hate about the S6 edge? The phone form or the Samsung software?

Always complains it wont do this and that, think basically the software.

Seen the Moto G22 is coming out soon as well, that should be in budget.

I've got a Moto G50.
Should be in budget, does 5g and isn't snided out with bloatware.
I've been happy with it for the last 6 months or so.

I'll take a look, think the G50 is pretty much the same hardware as the Note 10 5G

Just found the G50 at £169 John Lewis might go for that.
