Standard Griff alarm

After lurking on the sidelines for a while, I've bought myself a Griff.

The insurance company are insisting on a Cat 1 alarm.
Is the factory alarm Cat 1, or have I got to get another one fitted?

I don't pick it up until Friday, I think that it's going to be a long week :D

Guys

I have a TVR headed letter stating much that was said on the thread you posted. I could fax it to you if you want (email me your fax no's). I used it when insuring my Griff ('98 , 500). It worked with my insurance company - they were happy with the contents

Mine were happy with the standard alarm too - no problems with certification etc. They didn't even want to see it. (This made a change from the Subaru!)

I've since upgraded (for my own reasons) to a different alarm, so I now need to show them paperwork.

Getting the bonnet and boot pin switches to work properly and look reasonable is a bit of a nightmare...
