BB

A joke would suggest it is funny and therefore at least entertaining.

That was like watching a chiropodist's training video.

The really tragic part is I missed a night in the pub to watch this - wasted time - life is so short..

Every other bnloke but Sven can see that Seaman has had his day – his feet are too slow moving into position now. He should retire, before he becomes a laughing stock.

We made the same mistake with Peter Shilton. Remember the German penalties in Italia 90? He never got near one of 'em.

Very, very valid point and so true. What's worse is that Mr. S's ego won't let him retire! Time to be harsh, but fair . . . . the guy can't reach the top shelf anymore!

I watched it in the pub, I'd have been gutted if I'd stayed at home to see it

David Seaman announced today at a press conference that he would be retiring and has decided to pursue a career as a nuclear physicist. Half way through the conference however he changed his mind and said that he thought that his new career plan might be over his head.

Same thing happened to me old mate, the great Neville Southall; one of the finest stoppers in Christendom but let loose way too often at the end.

It's silly sentimentalism and Captain Ponytail should be knighted but pensioned off to Budleigh Salterton with the thanks of a grateful nation.

Only 30K a week. I understand that Roy Kean has just been fined 2 weeks wages by the FA for bringing the game into disrepute over 'that tackle' and the admission of what he was trying to achieve in 'the book'

2 weeks wages for him = 150k and he only (used to) play for Republic of Ireland

The problem with England is that they do not have a 'General'to command them on the pitch. Lots of individual skill. No idea how to link it all together. Many of them, including Beckham if they weren't blessed with clever feet may be living in places provided by the Home Office. Some of them can count their blessings that they are not doing so at the moment thanks to their 75K a week salaries providing the best legal defence money can buy.

And I thought the Scottish team drawing two all with the Faroes was embarassing!

Well done Wales though!

Ted can we have a 'LAME' smiley for denoting football threads in future so we don't wander into them unawares.. ?

Oh dear what a shame, I missed it....

Twink avenged her self on me for hotheaedly threatening to scap her yesterday morning after needing a jump start. Entirely my fault as I'd left the door ajar so the interior light was on all night.

Anyway my, usually 20 minute, drive became a two hour sit in the cold while no one anwered the the frickin' phone.

I suppose I should put put my roadside assistance number into my phone really (what a numptie, I know).

Sound's like she did me a favour really.

>>Edited to agree with Carzee. You will have noticed , I'm sure, my subtle attempt to introduce an automotive theme even if does involve Twink again.

I have seen better football played on a local sunday legue!

However who can blame them, all the fighting and shootings that had gone on prior to the match I would have been not quite as focused on the game.

Sorry I'm late in on this one, I've just stopped laughing.

Well done to all the hardworking engerland players. They must have tired their chubby little legs right out running like that.

Brilliant Result.
