I've got some cash in a SIPP to invest and want some gold exposure. I was going to go for iShares Gold Trust ETF, but it isn't available to anyone other than professional investors.

Any suggestions for an alternative chaps please?

Yep, I added SGLN to my pension a couple of months ago when it was £26, now approaching £30.

Bought, many thanks.

I have an unused dealing account and some surplus cash outside of my SIPP. I am a bit tempted to have a punt with that. I don't want to put it in my SIPP because I may want it again later.

What do you think chaps?

I use Wisdomtree PHAU (dollars) and PHGP (gbp) to have exposure to gold in my sipp.

Behaves pretty much like physical gold versus having it in gold miners and mixed etf.

Gonna have to shrug my shoulders on that one.

About 3.5% of my ISA is in metals, it’s had its ups and downs, but about the only bit that’s been more reliably green than red of late.

Will that continue? Absolutely no idea.

I use GBSS in my ISA and pension. For me it is important to select a fund which is actually backed by gold assets. Many are not. I have moved over time towards gold miners to get a bit more leverage.
