Just been announced that Imola is on the calendar until 2025, great news!

That’s awesome. F1 taking their pandemic-enforced 2020 season to heart, and realising that these old circuits make for good races?

2021 = where Max "carried" Lewis off and Leclerc didn't take advantage of Max losing control on the restart...Max got it together again and took P1

2021 = where Lewis steered away from Max to leave the track and avoid collision again. Later, overtaking offline, lost control and got it together again, to take second..

I predicted in 2020 we could see some of these 'emergency' circuits proven popularity get them on the calendar - in the case of imola I'm particularly happy to have been right smile

Never was a fan of Imola and its a shadow of its former self. Yes it has old-school charm but that's it. I've always had low expectations as the races are largely forgettable. There should be one chicane instead of two between pit straight and Tosa.

I'd rather suffer with the Monaco Grand Prix.

Why not Mugello? It is many, many times better. Offers a greater challenge to the drivers, greater spectacle, better racing, and still has charm/character of not being another Tilke-drome.

Mugello is primarily a bike track, and would be utterly ruined By F1 and speed bumps etc, it has a large history of being a bike venue, bit like Assen or Portimao, and too be quite honest F1 can chuff off ruining great bike tracks thanks

Imola is a very good bike track but has more history with f1, but is notoriously crap for overtaking, even if you plat it in games it is a one line snooze fest.

Fixed for you!

I like Imola, good to see it sticking around for a few more years. Hopefully Portimao will feature again at some point too.

I'd prefer mugello, the speed they can carry through the middle sector is ridiculous. I won't turn down imola either though!

I like the scenery. I prefer any circuit that has elevation changes and lots of greenery - plus genuinely enthusiastic fans. A GP is not just about the tarmac.

Mugello is in a spectacular location but I think it's a bit iffy safety-wise for F1.
