Alfa Romeo Stelvio Veloce...I am mad?

My parents are looking at the Stelvio Veloce to replace their 2015 Macan S but worried about servicing given Alfa dealers seem to have shocking reputation.
Porsche Centres has been an eye opener and he’s vowed never to buy another Porsche. Not sure whether 911 buyers/owners get a better experience than lowly Macan owners but they really have been terrible pushing to change tyres at 4mm(!?!?!) and replace disks every time pads are changed !?!?!), never mind delays on warranty/recall parts - we’ll before Covid even appeared.

I think most of that is standard dealer practice. My wife used to have her hyundai serviced at main dealer and they flagged tyres at 5mm. There was always something extra on offer at every service which they would recommend and their price for discs and pads was the last straw. We just use a good local garage now for both cars.
Plenty of independent Porsche or Alfa specialist garages around so that's where I'd go with either.

I have had my Stelvio just over 3 yrs now 280 Petrol Milano edition. Been really pleased with it. The fuel average is not great around mid 20s but the drive and feel of the car is great for an SUV, it feels so much lighter and corners so much better than my old F-Pace that feels like a tank in comparison.
My alfa dealer has been good so far, they seem to be really keen to offer a premium package. The servicing packs bought with the car seem like a good deal and so far only offered me advisories on tyre / brake pad replacements rather than trying to shove it down my throat.
I would highly recommend.

It's early days but very happy with mine. It looks stunning and gets tonnes of positive comments which I didn't expect.
It drives so well for an SUV given its rear-wheel bias I've also felt a little bit of slip when really pushing on which is nice.
The fuel economy is pretty awful but I guess that's to be expected, hopefully, it gets a bit better as it starts to loosen up.
