Who likes shiny tyres?
Discussion
I hate em. Not keen on shiny dashboard tops either. Took my car to the car wash yesterday, had the inside and outside cleaned. Asked them not to shiny the dashboard top. Didn't ask them not to shiny the tyres, as I have been there before and never have my tyres shined. I used to specically ask them not to, but they got used to it so didn't have to keep reminding them. Car now has shiny tyres which look fake. Meh.

Absolutely agree. Looks fake like a trout pout or tattooed eyebrows. PS I don't spend minutes polishing my car let alone hours, so may not be the typical PH demographic
If your idea of a wash is a quick once over with a bucket and sponge, with the leftover water used as a final rinse, then I wouldn't bother using tyre shine. But if you spend a few hours snow foaming, 2 buckets, fallout removal, polishing, waxing etc etc then tyre shine finishes it off. Otherwise it seems a bit pointless to go to all that effort but leave the tyres looking dull and faded when the rest of the car shines.
