Android tablet - deleted button to access apps!
Discussion
Ok, this sounds really stupid but I have an old Lenovo tablet on Android 4 (?). At the bottom on the home screen there used to be 7 buttons or so, one of which was to access all the apps (similar to "swipe up") on newer android versions. Somehow I have deleted this and no amount of going into settings, looking for widgets and generally poking around has found the button, or found how to access my apps. Can anyone help?
TIA

You could try installing an alternative Launcher from the Play Store and using that. Set it as your default launcher once it's running.
Once it's up and running with an alternative Launcher power the device off for a while and leave it off.
Upon rebooting once everything is up to speed try switching back to the original factory launcher, and see if it's working correctly again.
If it's not just continue with the alternative Launcher.
Be mindful that operating system is quite old now, so don't enter, access, or store any sensitive information on it.

Ah, thanks. I didnt know you could download a launcher, will do that. Once it's up and running with an alternative Launcher power the device off for a while and leave it off.

As for the OS, yeah it's very old, but still works well for iPlayer/BT Sport etc. For something which cost £60 about 6 years ago it's done very well. The only way to update it is to put a new ROM on it, which is possible but complicated.
