Just checked mine (E46 330), same recall as well as another, both airbag related best I can tell. Going to ring and get it booked in, doesnt seem likely it will be an issue but who really wants to gamble with safety related things

Was hoping for some insight prior to that as let's face it, it's a twenty year old car. Most things have broken already!
