Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600
Discussion
Not a watch aficionado in the slightest but I have a bit of money that I think I would like to treat myself with a watch, what are the general thoughts on the Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600 and Christopher Ward in general, I am interested in the 42mm, that size is fine as currently I have an Orient Mako XL which is circa 44mm which sits fine on my PH style wrists!!
Anyway not sure on either a black or blue dial yet, the watch is £845.00 but there is a £100 voucher code and they are also running 0% finance, I don't need it but may aswell use it if it is there, online reviews appear to be universally praising but I would like to hear real world opinions and thoughts if possible and also whether there are alternatives in a similar price bracket?
Thank you.

Decent watches.
In the same price bracket are Davosa:

Slightly cheaper, but equally well thought of, are Steinhart.
Mido Ocean Star is worth a look.
Black Seiko ‘King Samurai’ for a slightly edgier case design.
If you can squeeze the budget a bit a Longines HydroConquest with the ceramic bezel is a popular choice.

I've had a Trident C60 for the last 4 years or so, and it's been excellent. The quality is pretty good, it keeps decent time and feels very robust. I paid about £500 for mine at the time but it's still good value at ~£750. One of the best dive 'homages' out there in my opinion. Good quality and robustly made, but cheap enough (and tough enough) to be used every day.
Also, I find that CW keep on releasing good looking watches. There are 2 or 3 models at the moment catching my eye in a way that other brands don't.

Just ordered it, should be here tomorrow.
A decent choice; congratulations!I did look at the Steinharts upon seeing them as one of your alternative options, I watched a couple of very praising reviews, however I preferred the more contemporary design and looks of the Christopher Wards
Arrived today, first impressions were, what fantastic packaging, it was an event just opening it up to get at the watch, seems a shame that it will relegated to under the bed now!
The watch, well first impressions, it is very striking, I love the blue and the semi see through face, the overall quality and build is fantastic, I went for the standard recycled plastic strap as opposed to the metal one, I was a tad unsure as I've always had metal straps with my watches, I'm glad I did as it is very comfortable and also quite striking but not showy, it also really sets the watch off.
It sits very comfortably, far better than my Orient ever did, it is very comfortable to wear, the strap was stiff at first but seems to have loosened very quickly.
I'm very pleased that I went for the Tide over the Trident, it has a positive message, it also has the more accurate movement too.
