Is it worth using an injector / fuel system cleaner occasionally. If so does anybody have any recommendations for product and frequency of use
Thanks

I do, every 4-6 months? I don't pay attention to the brand, just buy the one I find. I can't say I have seen improvements, but at 10 € a shot, it is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.

the main dealer (Grange) always added "Tunap" during servicing on my vantage every year from new - 16 years in and the injectors are still going strong...
can be had for about a tenner on ebay -

Does super / premium fuel not include detergents that do the job?

Saw this recommended on the AMOC forum so I'm giving it a try.

I can't remember where I heard the recommendation, but Cataclean is supposed to be one of the best.
I've always shoved a bottle in the tank before an MOT and never had emission problems with either my diesel or petrol car although I appreciate it might have nothing to do with it.

The likes of Shell, BP, Texaco, Esso all have cleaning agents in them. In my time in dealerships companies like Forte would convince the bosses they were good products to sell and make a little bit more on a service. I've never used them and never had a reason to consider using them though.
