If you're selling which do you prefer?

I think the consensus is probably the same, for me:

Autotrader: Suitable for all cars, the average person will only look here
Pistonheads: Good for unusual/high performance cars, enthusiasts will look here but have probably looked at Autotrader too
eBay Classifieds: I usually post here as it's not too expensive for the reach, have sold a couple of cars through there but never bought.
Facebook/Gumtree: Best reserved for sheds, get loads of time wasters but it's free and one of them might stick.

Buying any but probably ebay mostly. Only recently started looking at Autotrader for the "family car"
Selling, reluctant to use ebay, I would advertise on PH & Car & Classic as both free and get a better range of customers.

When I sold my last car I used both PH and AT.

PH got zero response despite it being what i thought might be a PH kind of car. BMW, straight 6, manual box and very well kept. It sold in less than a week on AT and I'd had a few enquiries.

PH is good if it's something specialist, for example I sold my Mk1 Focus RS no here very quickly but for run of the mill i'd go Autotrader or probably more likely eBay classifieds as I believe it's cheaper
