Car for rent in Scotland 2 weeks End of August

it seems, that car rentals are "under pressure". My son and my wife want to make another roundtrip in Scotland, but there are no cars to be rented. Has anybody an idea, starting from Edinburgh August 21 untill September 6th. Thx for feedback

If your looking for an Aston Martin to rent a quick search just threw up a DB11 that might be of interest to you.

Have a look at www.northernsupercarhire.com

You might need a stiff drink before you look at the daily rental rate though.

It's not, if you allow me to disagree...did it a few years ago taking the overnight ferry Ijmuiden-Newcastle, with 1 additional overnight stop on route Switzerland-Netherlands.
As a surplus, I found driving on the left side really easy with a Euro-spec Vantage.

I have done Switzerland to the UK three times in the Vantage, and I find it a pleasant tour. From Luzern to Calais (generally seven and a half hours) followed by the chunnel car train over to Folkestone, and then four-ish hours up to Cotswolds/Oxford/Birmingham area, I find around 11-12 hours driving time total.
Four times of the six each-ways I`ve done in one hit, otherwise I`ve taken a hotel in the vicinity of Calais or Folkestone.
Of course Glasgow is another 5-6 hours north so it does become a bit of a jaunt, but I am plotting a Scottish trip next year with a couple of friends, and it`ll certainly be in the Vantage!

As TR-Spider said, get the over night ferry from NL to Newcastle and you cut out a pretty dull drive north.
Sadly Brexit killed the potential NL to Edinburgh overnight Ferry, that'd have been wonderful.
