Unreal. What a car!
Congratulations, I cannot wait to hear more about this and how you get on with it. My E63 with the mere V8 bi-turbo feels off the scale so this is simply on another level.
I love the white as it almost gives it a sleeper quality. You could have such a laugh with a couple of white ribbons on that too…

I love these but watching legitstreetcars on YouTube has put me off them slightly, the guy has spent 1000s chasing issues and he does all the work himself! Hope you've got a good sized war chest!
He was a Merc tech for years and he's really struggled. Those £5k V12's don't look quite so tempting now.
That is a lovely thing. I have a W221 albeit as a daily car which is a 3.0 V6 diesel and it's a lovely thing to be in, most comfortable car I've been in.
The 63/65 versions of the S do intrigue me as the savagery of my CLS63 with the comfort of my S sounds like a nice combination.
Either way, looks like a lovely example and look forward to some more pictures.

Lovely car, I ran a low mileage superbly maintained S600 for a year and it was a constant parade of irritating niggles; I think it cost about £5k in 12 months just in parts. If I did it again it'd have to be an S65 to justify the trouble.
I got to be reasonably knowledgable about the M275 engined cars and W221 in general, but WorldBoss on here is the person to speak to, I'll nudge them to check in on the thread. When the ignition system needs work you can get rebuilt coil packs from Clark at V12icpack in the US for about £600 each, but when the voltage transformer dies you need to get one from MB for about £400.
Whatever you do, when a coil pack goes and the car runs on six cylinders DO NOT DRIVE IT FAR as the ECU doesn't shut off the injectors to thank bank despite knowing it isn't firing, you'll get terrible bore wash, and after not too many miles you'll ruin a bank of cylinders and be faced with a very substantial bill or a smokey trip to WBAC.
The big question is, of course, did it come with the fridge??
ETA - I have some of the brass couplers you'll need to properly rejoin the plastic hoses for the massage/active seats fracture, you can have those if you need them, and I'll check my pile of bits to see what W221 parts are still left.
