Anyone watched/watching this? Couldn’t see another thread.

Based on a book I believe. Martin Compston is in it.

Feels a bit frustrating and ridiculous but I am in love with the female lead so persevering! laugh

There were many holes in the plot.

If he was gonna commit suicide why not just do it before selling the house so his kids keep the house and the scammers get nothing. Why go to switzerland to commit suicide?

How did the girl know it was him who was driving? Was the other car Mike driving? It wasnt his car. Why did he drive like a tt he couldnt have predicted an accident that would benefit him.

why not just call the girls bluff, your word against hers. The car was 'stolen' anyway, the police obviously had no evidence and do the police offer rewards for info, anyone who's got it would surely tell them without needing a reward. People up for rewards don't make good witnesses in court as jury know they have a stake in conviction.

If you were pulling this scam the one thing you would make sure of is that the receiving bank details are correct, she wouldn't just pass the numbers over then look away.

In the end he's commited suicide and dropped his wife in the st just to avoid a few years in prison.

Pretty much summed up all my comments for this.

Not a bad series if you don’t think about it too hard.

and Tuppence is my new favourite actor…

Binged the 4 episodes last night and found it quite enjoyable despite the obvious plot holes.

Started well, lots of real tension re finding your house not yours anymore. 2nd episode was stupid and it followed down from there. As previously said, she's quite the beauty smile

With regards to Tuppence Middleton, you can clearly see the resemblance to Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and why some people incorrectly assume they are related.

I don't think that was it.

He went to Switzerland as that was one of their favourite places as a couple.

He believed by committing suicide he was leaving her the money and she and the kids could live happily ever after.
He didn't know she had poisoned Toby and told the police she had never seen him before.
It was a good plan up until that point!

Another series spoilt by a st ending. It could have been good but why do they always persist with a rush at the end to conclude it all

... I've been following her acting for a while, worth checking out some of the earlier stuff she's been in...

Watched it all last week as it aired.

Generally it was OK, but of all the potential endings thought it was a bit rubbish. Is it the same in the book ?

As someone else wrote, this seems to happen with many dramas now.

Also, why did they pick Bram/Fi ? Was that explained at all ?

In the case of this show, probably best to take that up with the author as that's how the book the show was based on ended evidently hehe

It seems loads of people did the usual and flocked to social media shortly after it finished last week to complain to ITV, the producers, etc, about how it ended, some accused the producers of being anti women (because of the ending), and most seemed somewhat shocked when they were told that's how writer ended the book.
