sorry, should read 2007 to 2012!

Hi all, I have managed to break my father's
old laptop on which he ran an old copy of autocad lt 2010. We no longer have the discs / box etc so I'm looking at buying a genuine copy of the software but of course it is not easy to buy old boxed software on the bay or fb marketplace. I don't wish to buy something that isn't legitimate nor do I wish to sign up to a full subscription copy of the latest software at £00s a year.

Does anyone have an old copy (doubtful I am sure! ) or can point me to somewhere I might be able to buy a copy with licence?

It is for hobby stuff, not pro use. I have some other cad software incl solid works for my business but he is reluctant to learn a whole new package at his age.

Not sure people sell on their old copies
Torrent sites used to be a good source, but you seem to imply you want to be legitimate.

If you have kids in full time education Autodesk allow them access to nearly all their products free.

There is a selection of free ( for personal use ) and very capable cad software available from Autodesk, Siemens and Onshape. I think they will all import DXF/DWG. There are also some completely free CAD packages available.

Thanks chaps. As luck would have it I did find a legit copy on ebay and not for a huge amount, being the 2013 version. Cheers
