Does anyone have any tips for posting on Indeed and whether 'sponsoring' a job by paying a certain amount per day is worth it?

When I would post jobs on Indeed when at my old work, I found that the sponsored listing would indeed gain a fair amount more traction.. But I wouldn't say I received any more of the good quality Cv's, just more of the bad ones!

As above, we didn't find a noticeable improvement in the quality of applicants.

I wouldn't pay at the moment as so few people applying. I've had adverts with no applicants (granted not the most desirable industry/pay).

We stopped using Indeed as we were getting lots of very poor CV's, we trialled CV finder for a month with a couple of adverts and found 2 good staff.

Other than being a customer I have no affiliation with them.

Do you have a link to CV Finder?

Some say that CV coaching at school and beyond is not where it needs to be in this country compared to some others. Granted, if folk who are applying for some roles simply wouldn’t be able to do the job that they are applying for, but for a large cohort of others, being able to articulate their competence for the new role that they could do remains a challenge, so both they and their potential employer are missing out.
