Being a cretin, I've cut the hyperoptic fibre cable in my flat. They can't get an engineer out for over a week, so was looking to see what options I had to perhaps rejoin this cable?

You won't rejoin it. It needs properly splicing or terminating.

Fibre works on light, so it's not as easy as just twisting some cores together smile

it's s couple of grand for even a cheap fibre splicer

You're going to have to wait, it's not a DIY job.

Just create a wifi hotspot on your phone and use that in the meantime, just be careful of the data costs

Tethering to my PC which is now feeding the router, which is, in turn, broadcasting back out.
