I am currently trialing shopwired for my ecommerce platform. I have purchased .com and .co.uk domain name for my company name from TSOhost. The .com domain has been pointed to my shopwired website, but TSOhost are being a little unhelpful in setting up the co.uk address to forward to the .com address. Can this be easily done and is their a step-by step guide to do this?

Secondly, I want to send professional emails to customers which include my company name. What are the best options? I have read that i can create a gmail account and then set my company name as an alias? Any help and instructions about best option here would be appreciated.

Finally, with regards to social media accounts, I want our business to have all the social media channels (insta, tik tok, facebook etc,). Do I need to register with each platform seperately, or is their a more simpler process where all channels can be managed from a single web portal?

What is called a CNAME record in DNS is an easy way to automatically send visitors to yourwebsite.co.uk straight to yourwebsite.com

https://help.tsohost.com/knowledge-base/article/47...

You should be able to create a CNAME for your .co.uk domain via the DNS Management in the TSO Client area.

Buy a service, setting this up looks crap and will still show the gmail address.

You need to do it on each one or.....pay for a service which does not make sense at your scale.

Just use microsoft https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/busi... for business email (or google) both are fairly straight forward to set up. I have had issues with TSOhost email service.

You'll need to edit the mx records and/or add a txt entry.

For the social media you can use something like https://signuptoday.hootsuite.com/ but you'll still need to sign up for each.

Also don't forget to register business on google/yahoo/microsoft search engines

Just use Microsoft 365 for your business email. It's like £5 a month and you get many more benefits such as OneDrive storage, Teams under your business name and 50GB mailbox. It'll be much more reliable then any IMAP based self hosted email solution or forwarding setup.
