Is something happening at Liverpool to stop him landing ?

Guessing it's a minor issue with the aircraft; it's diverting to Prestwick now.

Longer runway and Ryanair have facilities there I think?

More likely fog at the airport: it was forecast overnight I believe.

Yup, I see a few have diverted to Newcastle and elsewhere. Unusual that it's nicer here than, well, anywhere else in the country!

Thicker than whale spunk the fog was in Speke this morning. I went to go birdwatching on the estuary on the hope of a spring migrant drop in and found myself staring at the gulls on the local school playing fields rather than being able to see even the River Mersey #givingbirdwatchersapervertreputationmodeoff
