FTSE100 against inflation

Don't know how to get the data to do a comparison but over time has the SE100 roughly tracked inflation ?

Historically the FTSE 100 has far outperformed RPI, but there will be periods (potentially long ones) where it will underperform. There isn't much tracking (correlation) between the two.
