Like a lot of people in the South of England, my car looked in a right state on Thursday after the sandy rain fell on Wednesday. I hosed it and used some waterless wash on it yesterday but some of the sand marks are still present.

Planning to give it a proper wash tomorrow (i.e. with water and proper car shampoo) but should that get rid of the marks?

Thanks.

The forensic detailing channel on YouTube did a quick vid on this yesterday. A right bugger to shift apparently. Bilt Hamber Touchless wash sounds like a good idea for this if you have a foam cannon.

We were blathered. But don't believe the nonsense - it washed off very easily.

Hmm the waterless wash won't have helped. Really you need as touchless as possible, if being cautious you are better leaving it and then doing x2 snow foams. One to remove the worst and the other a usual clean.

We get sandy rain quite often spring and late autumn here Malaga… the super powerful jet wash in the local garage makes short work of it, even against a black car.
