Evening guys so me as always getting excited leave a deposit on a m4 with Dunlop sport max on all 4 corners, d’oh. Obviously this isn’t ideal. If it were up to me would be Michelins. Got me slighty worried now esp has I’ve learnt from looking up previous mots advisories they there’s inner side wall wear on one or more tyres. Should I be concerned? Is this a Red flag? Obviously they aren’t thrash wheels but on a m car, surely not. The inner tyre wear leads me to believe a tracking issue or possible ball joint/ suspension prob? Am I panicking for no reason or is this a red flag? In a ideal world i would’ve bought AUC has I would’ve got Michelins all round and the years warranty I just got fed up waiting for right one to appear to be honest and I got strong money for my current car as a part ex so I couldn’t resist. Besides that the car does look very clean, previous keeper is a mrs something so hopefully not been in some toe rags hands prior, there was another keeper from new but does seem like a clean car to be fair. Just the tyres and not bugging me now

They don't get great user reviews on tyrereviews, M cars do wear the tyre on the inside edge a bit due to the camber they run (well that's my experience) have you driven the car? I'll be easy to tell if the tracking is out.

They aren't as good as Michelin PS4s, but they are hardly the cheapest ditch finders.

If that is the only problem you can find with the car it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

I wouldn't be put off by Dunlop tyres - they are a decent brand after all.

Even if they weren't my first choice it's not like they are Landsails or Linglongs!

If you are concerned about uneven tyre wear then getting the suspension checked out for worn bushes, etc. and a 4-wheel alignment might be a plan.
