Just been washing the car properly after in winter rest and was horrified to find rim damage on the offside rear. I had two new tyres fitted by an OPC at the end of Nov but I didn’t check the rims after fitment which was daft. I never street park, the car is just run from home and back again so I’m convinced it’s not curb damage. Any thoughts?

I’d guess most likely damaged during the tyre fitment process ... either an errant tyre lever, or the guide on the tyre fitting machine set too close to the wheel rim and has dug into the wheel rim when the machine was rotated to get the bead over the rim.

Could be anything but I damaged a 718S rim on an unavoidable pothole, with very similar looking result.
