Done that it pulled straight out, I've tried a borescope and metal hook to pull the catch but haven't had much success, despite having had to do this a few years ago.Loads of pictures on the internet for "emergency release".
I was looking to get it running, if the battery is not shot, so i can move it temporarily without setting the thing alight!

There are other threads too where people have had the issue. As for bump starting I have no idea I've never tried it with mine.
