Morning all, first time venturing (well postings) into the watch forum.

I've recently inherited a watch from my Grandad, which is a Zenith Elite. I'll be brutalhonest and admit it's not really my style of watch but for obvious sentimental reasons I'd like to get some use out of it rather than it collecting dust in its box.

One thing I really can't get on with is the leather strap and clasp set up. Possibly due to age but there is no flex in the leather and is quite uncomfortable to wear.

I've got no idea where to start looking but any recommendations on a replacement strap that would compliment the face?

I have thought about PXing it for something more 'me' which would get more weat time, but not sure that feels the right thing to do.

Google Hirsch straps. Plenty of choice so you should get a good match to that watch.

I have my grandad’s gold Rotary watch. It is tiny and not very ‘me’ either but for a couple of occasions a year it is nice to wear.

Try https://www.steveostraps.com/ he hand makes them in Surrey.

If you send him the old strap he will make an exact (ish) replacement. If the buckle is original it might be stitched into the strap pretty sure he would be able to re-use that too.
