Morning Everyone

Apologies for being a noob. New to the forum and I currently drive a F30 320d. Given the price of fuel is on the rise and not looking likely to stop, I'm looking at the 330e. I work 6-7 miles from the office and they have chargers in the car park too. So I see this as a win win.

Here comes the noob in me. Going through autotrader and the BHP output is different. Are there 2 different versions or are some adding the petrol + electric BHP together? I like the pull of my 320d after having it remapped so looking for something similar. Or am I being greedy...............

How much is your 320d worth?

How much do you want to spend on a 330e?

How long will it take to "save" the difference?

My car is worth roughly 15K and the 330e is just shy of 18K. I have the difference in terms of £££. Its fuel, costing me £20 - £40 a week in diesel now. £20 if I don't go anywhere else apart from work. And between £30-£40 if I do depending on where my lads footy matches are being played. A full tank used to last me near on the month with the odd additional top up before pay day. But now, no where near and with prices going on to hit £2+ a ltr next week, I want and need a change.
I was looking at changing car this year anyway but wanted to step away from the 3 series and go for a car with a bigger boot (420d grand coupe or Audi A5 5dr). But have to change my approach to something more financially viable

From the price, you're looking at an F30? For your commute it's ideal, especially if you're able to charge at work.

For practicality, buy one with folding rear seats.

Happy to answer further questions....

Yeah that's one thing I regret not checking when I brought my 320d. That and the passenger mirror not working lol

I might be wrong, I think the F30 330e couldn’t have a folding rear seat. Mine didn’t- which was a Shadow Edition, and every other Shadow Edition which wasn’t an “e” seems to have as standard….

Really? Standard in the run out models per March 2019 brochure:
