Any suggestions on the best way to remove bird poop from a car coated with Gyeon Ceramic Coat? It's getting warmer and it's becoming a regular occurrence with birds pooping on anything shiny biggrin

I've used Autoglym wipes in the past though not on the said car but it's quite strong and removed ceramic wax.

I'm looking for a product that's quite neutral that won't interfere with the Ceramic Coat as I'm not aware that Gyeon do their own product to remove bird poop.

I've seen suggestions for ONR in a spray bottle but haven't tried it yet.

Any suggestions for something i can use anywhere on the go?

Edit to add that I've also used Meguiars Waterless Wash & Wax detailer with good results in the past but not on a ceramic coated car so as not to disturb the ceramic bonding.

I cover the Poo with a very wet cloth for 1/2 an hour ish, then it runs off with a watering can or hose.
Then only need to dry the wet bit!

Thanks for the reply. I've used that method in the past but need something i can use on the go when I'm out and about and discover the poop on the car and need to clean it immediately.

In the 70's and 80's when I Motorcycled everywhere, I carried a small wet sponge in a polythene bag, under my seat, about the size of a Pan Scrubber.
To clean my visor (lots of flys back then).
Would that be an answer?

Good suggestion, thanks. Problem is though that bird boop is quite acidic and will eat very quickly into the clear coat if not cleaned properly especially in the sun. Therefore, i need an ideal neutral cleaner preferably more effective than just water but not also strong enough to affect the ceramic coat.

It shouldn't ever touch the clear coat, remember, you have a Ceramic coating on to protect it!

Wiping it away will scratch the clear coat.
The method suggested above is best with a damp cloth.
Maybe keep a spray bottle in the boot and some kitchen towel.
Gyeon should have a quick detailer to compliment the ceramic coating.

Sounds good and use my detailer afterwards. If it's good enough for the skin, it won't harm the bodywork. Cheers

Crikey!
The Ceramic coating protects the clearcoat.
That's why we put it on.
It's very hard, much harder than Clearcoat
This is not complicated.

Just keep a small bottle of water in the boot with a couple of clean microfibre cloths in a bag.

Your basic ceramic coating can withstand temperatures of 600C at least. A bonnet alone on a sunny day can reach 100C+ and top end coatings are capable of 900C+
