Laguna seca blue e46 m3
Discussion
I’m no expert, but I believe Laguna Seca Blue is a reasonably rare colour on the E46 M3. I think it was mainly on earlier cars - not sure if it was discontinued after a while. You could also get Laguna Seca Blue leather if I remember correctly too. The E46 is such a wonderful car though. Enjoy it!

Correct. Someone near me had one with the matching leather back when they were new.If I were after an E46 M3 I'd actively try to find one in Laguna Seca Blue, preferably with the matching leather.
ETA: Did a quick Google...

It was 1 of 3 colour shades not replaced on the M3 after it finished in 2004, the other 2 are oxford green and phoenix yellow.
I've been watching the E46 M3s for a while now and toyed with getting one as a bit of usable (sunny day) classic.
Colours such as the early ones ie the 3 above, seem to hold value along with limited edtion colours such as Silverstone and 30yrs of BMW imola red, Estoril Blue and Velvet Blue.
Anything marked as "individual" also carries a premium.
There is a site where you could apply the exterior and interior colours and it would tell you how many produced which helps drive values,

Sorry for your loss, although the asset you've inherited is going up in value and is sought after.

Friend of mine had 2 e46 M3s, one in Phoenix yellow with Avocado interior, the other in Laguna Seca Blue With the matching interior. I never liked either colour scheme, found the blue with matching interior particularly so. He used to tell me that there were very few made in that colour, I said there's a reason for that!
But tastes change, Laguna Seca used to be unpopular, while silver was popular, now it's probably the other way round!
