So I have just purchased the RSeat P1 rig (with orange highlights if your interested smile )

I have a fanatec CSL belt driven base which im happy with, BMW wheel and waiting of the club sport pedals to arrive

The only thing im missing is the monitor/ TV

I will be using a PC as well as a PS5 when I finally get my grubby its on one

I have VR (HTC vive original) but I also want a monitor for when it gets too hot/ tired of screen door affect as we'll when using that elusive PS5

I will also use it for other games where I will sit in the cockpit to play COD etc

So question 1

How close do you put your monitor to your racing rig? Just beyond the wheel?, Above the pedals? Further away?

Q2 Monitor or TV?

I have my eye on a Sony X85J 50 inch or 43 inch , too big? would a monitor be better? Monitors just seem too narrow and expensive for what they are, im a crusty old gamer so reaction time is limited me, not the screen.

Very interested know your screen location on your rigs!

Thanks

There’s a great website called driver 61 which has loads of tips about setting up screen position, adjusting field of view (plus a whole host of stuff about improving techniques) - well worth a look. Some of it is YouTube based. Certainly helped me massively!
