Are these games any good or am I going to get quickly bored after playing Battlefield and Call of Duty?

I think they are great but a totally different kind of game cant really compare about the only thing they have in common is you shoot a gun !

Depends on if you have the patience to play it.. There will I expect be parts where you have to wait before you shoot to time the noise with some other game noise.... BUT if you enjoy watching a bullet travel through a body and explode out the other side, all in slow motion etc... Then yes, it is for you

i think other than the Gran Turismo series, my play time on Sniper elite games has been more than any other since PS1 came out.

Great single player campaigns - that are not easy on High difficulty level modes - and numerous types of multiplayer games and maps.
Plus extension maps.

I think i must be into the 1000's of hours playing Sniper elite 4. On one of multiplayer games i got up to top 100 player scores worldwide at one point. Then i decided i'd play a multiplayer sniper game using only a pistol and allowing myself knife kills - no rifles biggrin - that really annoyed other players

So yes, you won't get bored and there are many ways of playing /replaying the game. Go in all guns blazing or do proper sneaky sneaky sniper stuff.

The Sniper Elite series definitely isn't trying to replicate the brain dead BF / COD gameplay.

It's great that you feel comfortable enough to share your peccadillos, but what do you think of Sniper Elite?

For me, these games are great at lower difficulty levels just to start blasting away and having the sort of fun you wouldn't admit to. They're a laugh and not to be taken too seriously.

Haha, loved Sniper Elite 4, didn't play any of the earlier ones

Decided I had to buy it after I had a video on ways to kill Hitler drop in my YouTube recommendations randomly biglaugh

The map design was excellent I thought, particularly the extra content ones. Could spend hours happily sneaking around

Looking forward to this!

Sniper Elite 4 (and 3) were great. But also, Jason Kingsley, one of the founders of Rebellion (which is a British company, of course), has a Youtube channel , Modern History TV, that has some interesting films about medieval history that are worth checking out if that kind of thing is of interest.

On your recommendations I have just spent £7.49 of my own money on Sniper Elite 4.

Just going to install it from Steam now!

The games are very good fun but they've done the WW2 setting to death. It really needs a move to Vietnam.

Good shout, the Vietnam war is vastly underserved in the game market.
