Thirsty, non ULEZ bargains?
Discussion
Are non ULEZ cars going to be coming down in price? I do a fairly low milage in my daily driver and am in a rural county, so ULEZ and economy aren't particularly important to me. Is now a good time to be shopping?
Personally I'm after a big engined car with a big boot sub 8k- currently in a V90.

Most non-ULEZ compliant cars are diesel, which are not so thirsty by virtue of them being diesel. Since you are doing low miles, a diesel doesn't really suit your needs. Petrol non-ULEZ cars tend to be really old, so they are usually pretty knackered.
Having a look on autotrader, none of them seem to be particular bargains either, prices are high pretty much across the board. Here's some stuff that caught my interest

All of those petrols except for the Subaru are ULEZ compliant - not sure if you meant for that to be the caseHaving a look on autotrader, none of them seem to be particular bargains either, prices are high pretty much across the board. Here's some stuff that caught my interest

It gets a lot of attention on here but for the vast majority of the UK population the ULEZ is utterly irrelevant so it's not going to have any great impact on prices. Case in point - my XC70 D5 is Euro 5 so I believe not ULEZ compliant. However despite being three years older and having done circa 45,000 miles more than when I bought it, it would retail for about the same today as I paid for it back then. If fuel prices stay as they are that's a different matter though; I've said on another thread that powering a 2-ton family barge with a petrol engine (which has become popular in recent years because diesel is now evil), might not be so appealing at £1.70 per litre...
