Over the years they keep changing location but now they can all be downloaded directly from Aston Martin

I would have thought everyone already has an owners manual when they bought the car surely? only if its a write off or a repo etc, surely would mean you would end up without that?

Anyway, its certainly good for those owners who have ageing cars and wanted more service manual pages! There was a thread recently asking for them and the cost from the factory. Seems they are free now to anyone with a printer, which is great news. smile

Downloaded mine anyway, even though I have both manuals in pristine condition already.

So thank you for the link! thumbup

In my case I have a downloaded copy on my PC, so if I want to check something (like how much oil between min and max on the dipstick - relevant to another thread) I don't have to go into the garage and the car's glovebox where my hard copy lives.

You can also use the pdf "search" facility on a downloaded one

Brilliant. Just downloaded the manual for my DBX. It will be handy to have it on my phone and will give me something to browse if I have an odd minute. It’s 320 pages long so clearly didn’t read it all when I bought the car. There is always something new to learn - discovered by accident last week you can switch the rev counter for a sat Nav map on the instrument display which I didn’t know about !

Are Astons the only car where the manual doesn't fit in the glovebox? Mine is crammed into the passenger door pocket (thereby wiping out half the internal storage space!)

You have to put it in at an angle

2. Its also nice to have it in English as my delivery copy is in German!!

I have been an advocate to have a PDF version on your phone and freeing space in the glovebox since forever.

Before this handy link there was another way to get the digital manual via the official AM app, but it has been discontinued I think.

Ah, never thought of that! But then of course the glovebox would be full and I can't reach the passenger door pocket from the driver's seat for anything else spin Those Aston boys have it all worked out lol.

Talking of PDF manuals, if the satnav screen was hi-res you could have it on that, ie built in to the car.

If perhaps glovebox is an old fashioned name, what should we call those little cupboards now ?

I think Angus meant he had a new, MB-engined Vantage. The post-VH cars don't have gloveboxes

Obviously, but should we be calling a glovebox something else, now that gloves are very seldom worn by ladies or gentleman.

No. Otherwise amongst other things we'd have to rename the boot, as the coachman no longer keeps his boots in the chest he sits on at the back of the carriage. Pointless rabbit hole.
