25-30k budget. Need a decent daily driver
Discussion
Probably been posted a million times, but I'm looking to spend 25-30k on a semi sensible daily. Any advice would be appreciated
0-60 around 7 seconds, 2016 onwards, 4 seats ideally and hoping to average ~30mpg.
Currently have an abarth 124 spider which is great to drive and average 32mpg but not practical at all.
Having a difficult time as worried about mpg on a mustang ecoboost (not fussed about v8) and although I could consider an audi s5(?) The virtual cockpit in an a3 I used was so glitchy, but maybe this was a one off...
New 3 series is boring to drive in my opinion

Semi sensible and certainly much nicer than some German 'believe the hype' sausage munching white goods on wheels

Hahaha! Brilliant. Going to shortlist this! If I can find a low mileage one. Putting 15k on the clock yearly so ideally want <45k on itSemi sensible and certainly much nicer than some German 'believe the hype' sausage munching white goods on wheels

It’s a healthy budget. I’d (I did!) pick the M140/M240 but others are available from VW, Ford, Seat, etc…

Got to agree with this.Chris
There's not that much you couldn't sensibly get with your budget.
Especially if you don't need a 'Badge'.
Not many bad cars out there these days!

Wow, I would have expected sub 20s for spirited driving.
22-25 for normal driving.
How much would one be over his budget then?
I sold my 2018 good spec (carbon inlays, virtual cockpit, adaptive cruise, lane assist, etc etc) for £29k to the trade with 32k miles on the clock in Nov/Dec last year... so should be able to find one in budget22-25 for normal driving.
