Morning

My provider has sent me an offer for a new SE 2022 and i can trade in my SE 2020. My question is, is it worth the money? or what is the equivalent iPhone model (12,13 etc??) other than the SE model to the new Se?

I had a look on their website and they also sell refurbished phones. I would be tempted but i checked the iPhone XS vs what i have and it appears inferior. has anyone else any idea or should i just stick with what i have??

Tks in advance.

SE2022 has the A15 chip which is the same chipset in the iPhone 13

It does have a marginally bigger battery than the 2020 SE

XS is a very old phone now (2018 released) and not comparable IMO - I would personally consider a 12 or 13 (or 13mini if you prefer the smaller form factor - NOT the 12mini though as the battery issues are mega with them)

The biggest ongoing issue with the SE range is the physical appearance (as its such an old and outdated design) and the camera modules as there is no night mode / limited other modes and potential - its just about serviceable but nothing more really.

If you are happy with your 2020 SE, no.

Good thread as I am in the same position. sim only and got the SE 2020 as soon as it was released.
Although mine is battered and the charger port doesn't work anymore it seems to work fine still and charges fine on the wireless charger.

I was waiting for 5G to be on a new model before I upgrading but I still don't think I'm ready.

I may wait a couple years and see if they change the look of it or see if I become less tight and will pay the money to upgrade.

12minis are to be avoided like the plague. Mine had a battery with health in the mid 80s after only 10mths.

Battery would barely last 18hrs. (It’s since been replaced with a 13 pro max)

Nice size and well made but compromised. The 13mini corrects the juice-usage.
